New York Fashion week SS15

This is the week I live for...okay I know I'm over exaggerating but if you love fashion as much as I do you'll understand.

This week is one of the most important weeks in the fashion world. Milan to Paris, London and New York, these are all in four different countries but they all have one thing in common...FASHION WEEK. The Mercedes-Benz New York fashion week is taking place right now, from September 3rd-11th. It's already day four of fashion week and the various collections that hits the runway are exemplary and superb. The list of designers ranges from Ralph Rucci to Alexander Wang and many more. There are a few collections that I absolutely admired. Let's hit the runway!

As I watch from home, the collections that ripped the runway had me in awe. I fell in love with a few pieces and I'd kill for most of the items that were displayed along the runway. Here are some of my favorite pieces

SUIT IT UP

Who says suits aren't in, because they are and I'm loving it. The first four pictures below are suits from designer Ralph Rucci and the creme colored suit is from designer Jill Staurt. I love these suits because they all are very different and they are very simple but yet versatile. Elegance meets high end/street fashion.

PRINTS, PRINTS, AND MORE PRINTS

Prints are in, and I love love love it. I'm glad to see all of the many looks on the runway but my favorite has to be the different prints. Designer Mara Hoffman puts the "P" in prints, I absolutely loved her ready to wear collection (pictures below) it was so colorful and full of surprises.

FLORAL BEAUTY

I've always been a fan of floral design, whether it's a shirt, a skirt, a jacket, etc. Rebecca Taylor's Fashion Week Collection is a perfect example of floral beauty. It's modern but also vintage, that's why this collection is one of my favorites.

VERSASTYLE

Monique Lhuillier's collection was so versatile or should we call it "Versastyle" I couldn't help but drool over it. Maybe I'm being dramatic but her collection was to die for. There were silk fabrics, a holographic look and pretty short dress etc.

So I've talked about the Runway and about what fashion week is, but I'm missing something....

Oh I got it..Celebrities! How could I forget. What was your favorite NYFW14 celebrity outfit so far? There is one celebrity who's choice of fashion was very eye appealing. The one and only fashionista Rih Rih. Rihanna went very modern and urban in this outfit (picture below) She matched a blue bucket hat with this gorgeous deep neckline mini jacket/dress. This outfit is to die for, I love everything about the look. Rihanna is stepping out of the box and taking risks in fashion, and that's why I adore her sense of style.
